Payment Policy
2023/2024
- A €750 SECURITY DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED TO PROCESS YOUR APPLICATION. PLEASE DO NOT PAY SECURITY DEPOSIT UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN OFFERED A ROOM BY A MEMBER OF OUR TEAM.
- If your application is successful, your booking deposit will be used as follows:
€750.00 Security Deposit*. Refundable after move out pending and inspection of the apartment.
*The security deposit is non-refundable when the lease is broken or terminated early.
€459.00 – Non-Refundable Utilities Contribution. This money will be offset against WIFI provision, refuse collection, security and maintenance.
- Payments are made in two instalments:
- First moiety due on or before August 25th 2023.*
- Second moiety due on or before December 1st 2023.
- Failure to pay on or before these dates will result in your tenancy potentially being terminated.
* Please note as a result of late leaving certificate results, 1st years are not required to pay their fees until 3 days after the 2nd round offers. Access will not be given until fees have been paid and cleared.
Payment of the booking deposit, first and second moiety can be made by bank transfer or standing order due the 25th of each month.
CANCELLATIONS POLICY – PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
- All 1st Moiety payments should to be made in full by 5:00pm on 25th August 2023. Failure to make payment by this date will result in bed space being released for resale without deposit refund.
- If a 1st Year applicant wishes to cancel or is unsuccessful in their college application, he/she must cancel in writing no later than within three days of the first-round CAO offers. Cancellations by telephone will not be accepted. In the event of such a cancellation, a €250 cancellation fee will be deducted from the security deposit and the remainder refunded via bank transfer. No deposit refund will be made for cancellations after this date.
- If a 2nd, 3rd, 4th year, PG etc. applicant wishes to cancel he/she must do so by 5:00pm on 10th August 2023. Cancellations by telephone will not be accepted; they must be made by email. In the event of such a cancellation, a €250 cancellation fee will be deducted from the booking/security deposit and the remainder refunded via bank transfer. No deposit refund will be made for cancellations after this date.
- If any applicant cancels after 5pm on the 25th August 2023 (or anytime thereafter), having paid the moiety and utilities, a refund will not be given unless a replacement applicant is found and all monies due are paid in full. Glen Abhainn will endeavor to refill this bed space but cannot guarantee it. Failure to refill bed space will result in the applicant losing all monies paid.
